Recapping The BMW Championship ⛳

Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland played at 7,601 yards this week as a par 70. Don't let the scenic setting fool you, this Tom Fazio design demanded both power and precision. With just 49 players competing for 30 spots in the Tour Championship, every shot carried massive implications for season-long goals and Ryder Cup aspirations. The no-cut format meant all competitors played four rounds, but the pressure was palpable as players fought to secure their place in the season finale at East Lake.

It was a perfefect setup for a most incredible comeback by Scottie Scheffler. He trailed Robert MacIntyre by four shots entering the final round, methodically erased the deficit by the seventh hole. Later in the round he stuck a dagger in the heart of Robert MacIntyre by holing an 80+ foot chip from the left side of the 17th green. Scottie secured his 5th win of the season and is looking for more.

Where it mattered 🎯

Look keeping it 💯 here, Scottie just outplays everyone. His dominance was evident again this week where he only finished outside the top 10 SG categories in putting. Scheffler's ball-striking was the story all week. He gained strokes tee-to-green consistently and showed the composure of a champion when it mattered most. He finished first in both Off the Tee and Tee to Green categories, where he gained +3.73 strokes on the field for the tournament. It was really just another dominanting win by Scottie Scheffler.

Cool stat ❄️

When Scottle Scheffler chipped in on the 17th hole from more than 80 feet, he sealed his fifth win of the 2025 season, which made him only the second player in the last 40 years to have 5+ wins in back to back seasons. Scottie's dominance over the last two seasons is something we haven't seen since Tiger Woods, and he's looking to join Tiger in another stat as the second player to win back to back FedEx Cup titles.

Don't Bet Against Scottie 💰

Lesson learned this week, never bet against Scottie. There were four matchups this week that showed Scottie's opponent faring better than what the book odds gave them. This doesn't mean that they were favored to beat Scottie, just that they had better odds of it than what the books gave them. Well, they lost all 4 bets. Had you been smart and played the still favorable odds and not bet the Matchups against Scottie, you woulda walked away +$101.20 this week on 26 bets!
