Welcome Back 🚀
It's been a minute since I published a newsletter, and it was for a good reason. I've been heads-down building UnderPar's new platform. A real-time odds tracking system that uses proprietary models to identify positive equity value opportunities across the PGA, DP World Tour, and LIV.
Our system will be live soon so I'm back in your inbox every week with the sharpest golf betting analysis you'll find, including one free pick daily.
We're kicking things off with the Sony Open at Waialae, where course history actually matters and the data tells some compelling stories.
Let's get back to work.
Sony Open⛳
The PGA Tour is back this week! The Sony Open kicks off today in Hawaii, officially launching the 2026 PGA Tour season. After a month, or so, without competitive golf, Waialae Country Club is the perfect place to start.
Waialae Country Club plays short by modern standards but don't let that fool you. The narrow fairways, constant trade winds, and 3.5 inch bermuda rough make it one of the trickier tests early in the season. Only two par 5s on the card means players can't rely on bombing drivers. Approach play and putting separate the winners from the pack.
For bettors, this week sets up well. Course history matters at Waialae, approach play is king, and the field is small enough that we can find real edges in the matchups. Our models have already flagged a few spots where the books are off, including this week's featured pick below ⬇
